The Everglades Hotel has undergone a £100,000 renovation, refreshing its Library Bar with mirrored panelling, marble tables, and new upholstery in a modern colour scheme. The upgrade extends to the ground floor, Grill Restaurant, and Grand Ballroom, with new carpets, blinds, paintings, and furniture. Business suites have enhanced IT capabilities and refreshed decor. General manager Sam Denning highlights the hotel’s readiness for a busy summer, emphasising local provenance in their food offerings and entertainment by local artists. The renovation is part of the hotel’s evolution, reflecting a contemporary and confident feel.

Kew Green Hotels has been appointed as the management partner for Mercure Milton Keynes. Located next to Abbey Hill Golf Club, the hotel is “ideal” for business and leisure, featuring 103 refurbished rooms, a restaurant with golf course views, a gym, EV chargers, and secure parking. It offers versatile event spaces for up to 120 guests and a dedicated Wedding Garden. CEO Chris Dexter expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasising Kew Green’s commitment to exceptional guest experiences and innovative hotel services.

Travelodge is recruiting over 300 positions across the UK, including roles in hotel management, housekeeping, reception, and at its head office in Thame, Oxfordshire. Holiday Inn Oxford has unveiled a £12m extension block with 66 additional bedrooms, new meeting facilities, and a courtyard mural by local artist Chrissy Grainger. The extension includes a dedicated reception, adaptable event space for 100 guests with audio-visual equipment, and on-site parking. The mural features elements from films shot in Oxford, reflecting the city’s cultural significance. General manager Gavin Webster highlights the blend of practical and visual design elements in the extension, aiming to showcase Oxford’s heritage and cater to the needs of guests for years to come.
