The Vineyard Hotel unveils new outdoor dining concept OutSide

Executive chef Tom Scade is spearheading a three-pronged dining approach aimed at ‘elevating guest experiences beyond the traditional restaurant setting’

The Vineyard Hotel in Newbury, Berkshire has unveiled its brand-new outdoor dining concept: OutSide, expanding the hotel’s dining offerings alongside The Tasting Room and The Vineyard Restaurant.

Inspired by The Vineyard’s Californian winery, OutSide has been created to offer a “relaxed” setting where guests can opt for seasonal small plates, fresh tacos, and grilled specialties with a selection of quaffable wines.

Alongside the dining menu for OutSide, The Vineyard is also offering a drinks menu including an array of cocktails and no or low-alcohol drinks.

Additionally, the group has also launched its new summer menu at The Tasting Room. Executive chef Tom Scade is spearheading a three-pronged dining approach aimed at “elevating guest experiences beyond the traditional restaurant setting”.

The Tasting Room showcases chef Scade’s culinary excellence with a menu that “harmonises” traditional favourites with “innovative” plant-based options.

Dishes include English Pea Tart with truffle, hazelnut, and lovage; Cornish Red Mullet accompanied by tomato, basil, and olive; and Hereford Beef Fillet paired with onion, savoury, and IPA.

The Vineyard Hotel offers 49 rooms that feature antique furnishings and an event space for intimate gatherings and weddings.

Scade said: “As we unveil our summer dining experiences at The Vineyard, the team and I are excited to introduce a three-pronged approach that showcases the best of seasonal flavours and celebrates local produce.”

Chris Smith, general manager, added: “Through the dedication and creativity of our talented team, we’re thrilled to introduce OutSide and expand offerings at The Tasting Room. We look forward to welcoming guests to indulge in innovative dishes that celebrate seasonal flavours and showcase our commitment to excellence.”
