Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars appoints NYnLON head chef

Giuseppe Federico brings 10 years of experience working in some of London’s finest hotel kitchens, including Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard

NYnLON at Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars has announced the appointment of Giuseppe Federico as its new head chef. 

In his role at the recently-opened signature restaurant, Federico will be responsible for elevating the culinary experience and providing a memorable restaurant experience. 

He will also be tasked with creating a menu that makes the best of NYnLON’s ingredients, and adapting it seasonally while minimising wastage. Federico will place special focus on product quality, sustainability and local sources.

The upscale bistro style restaurant fuses “the charm of the finest comfort food” from both New York and London. 

Federico brings 10 years of experience working in some of London’s finest hotel kitchens, including Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard; Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London; Andaz London Liverpool Street; and Intercontinental London the O2.

Federico said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Hyatt Regency team in this landmark hotel. I’m excited to bring my passion for hospitality to life in this vibrant environment, delighting guests and crafting new culinary experiences with sustainability in mind. 

“I look forward to leading the talented team of chefs and embarking on a new chapter of culinary excellence at NYnLON.”

The appointment has been marked with the launch of Federico’s new bistro lunch menu in May, featuring classic transatlantic dishes including black Angus beef burger; NYnLON hotdog; moving mountains vegan burger; and hot smoked salmon bagel.
