Radisson Hotel Group to open first Radisson Red in Ireland
The new hotel is currently under construction and is scheduled to open its doors later this year
Radisson Hotel Group has announced plans for its first Radisson Red hotel in Ireland in Galway, City.
Radisson Red Galway will be located within the Crown Square development, minutes from Galway’s city centre. The hotel joins Radisson Red’s growing portfolio which today includes more than 85 hotels in operation and development.
The new hotel is currently under construction and is scheduled to open its doors later this year. It will feature 177 rooms, each reflecting Radisson Red’s signature style and design which incorporates art, music, and fashion.
Designed by Henry J. Lyons Architects, as part of the new Crown Square Development, Radisson Red Galway will be an eight-storey building with views over Galway Bay and the hills of Clare from the rooftop bar and restaurant.
For those with business or event needs, the hotel will offer more than 400 sqm of meeting and event space on the lower ground floor. The space includes a 300 sqm conference space which can be split into two individual meeting rooms, in addition to a 200 sqm breakout space.
The overall project is being developed by the Galway based Rhatigan Group and built by JJ Rhatigan and Company. Rhatigan Group is also responsible for the development of Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin City Centre and the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, a €20m (£17m) state-of-the-art Convention Center which opened in the heart of Dublin last year.
